Hi,
I have subscribed the AUCTeX list to the preview-latex-bugs list and
stopped some moderation options of the latter list, so SPAM will more
likely get through.
I currently have intermittent access only, and there is no sensible
way in dealing with the current pile of bugs post: the mailing list
manager at Sourceforge requires inordinant amounts of moderation.
The preview-latex CVS has been sent to the Savannah maintainers and
should appear in due time in the CVS of AUCTeX. At a similar time, a
dvipng snapshot is supposed to turn up as part of the separate dvipng
project at Savannah,
That way, I hope that people can start coping with the justified bug
reports soon, and the AUCTeX programmers get a handle on the
installation procedures of preview-latex that should in due time make
it into AUCTeX.
Please don't start merging work right now, but keep the projects
separate for a while: we might want to release a few bug fix releases
to the current releases of both software before doing the merge.
The main reason for the move right now is to make it more convenient
to have problems in manual and installation fixed, and to make work on
interoperability easier.
