I'm using X-Symbol package on AUCTeX. It looks good.

However, everytime, after I start the GNU Emacs and load the LaTeX source file,
the buffer always shows "Modified" status. This is bad because I need save all related LaTeX and BibTeX files before I compile them.
Furthermore, if I use "TeX-auto-generate(-general)" command, it always asks me whether I need save the buffer before Emacs closes it.
Hundreds of such questions prompt.

Is it possible to solve this problem?

I think "preview-latex" can do a much better job. However, it cannot change the buffer "online".

Thanks.

BTW: I'm using AUCTeX 11.54
CVS Emacs 21.3
Windows XP.

This does not sound like AUCTeX is involved with the problem, but
rather like this is X-Symbol-specific. So you should try the bug
reporting instructions for X-Symbol. A copy is at
<URL:http://x-symbol.sourceforge.net/man/x-symbol_8.html#SEC113>.
