execution problem....?

I 'd like to know how I can get the preview package to execute
correctly. I can't get the images to show up in my xemacs on OS X.
Perhaps I have some wrong setting? Maybe related to pdflatex? Any
suggestion?

I guess that the problem is here (as _region_.pdf is created with the
correct images in it):

If it is _region_.pdf why does it look for paper.pdf? Strange.

Does the named directory exist after you get this error?
paper.prv/tmphuAxqL/ ?

Can you use pdf2psc manually? on PDF files?
